What moves the price

How much of it already exists

Finishing a half-built application is usually cheaper than starting over, but not always — sometimes the existing code costs more to understand than to replace. The rescue audit exists to answer exactly that question before you commit money to either path.

How many people need to use it, and how differently

A brochure site and a five-page site cost roughly the same. A system with customer logins, staff roles and an admin area is a different kind of project, because every role multiplies the things that have to work and be tested.

Whether money moves through it

Payments, subscriptions and invoicing bring compliance, reconciliation and failure cases that a marketing site never has. It is worth the cost when it replaces manual work — but it is never a small addition.

How much content and data has to come across

Migrating a hundred products with variants, images and reviews is a real chunk of the budget. Twelve pages of text is not. We will tell you which one you have before quoting.

Common questions

Australian businesses of 1–5 staff running a standard website of up to 5 pages. If you are larger than that, or you have a custom application rather than a website, a retainer suits you better — those start at $750 a month.

Hosting, updates, security patching, backups and uptime monitoring, plus an agreed block of development time each month for changes and improvements. The scope is written down so both sides know what is covered. Retainers start at $750 a month and are sized to the work.

Yes. Plenty of our work is ad-hoc — a fix, a feature, an audit, a second opinion. Tell us what you need and we will quote it at a fixed price. There is no minimum engagement and no obligation to go on a plan or retainer afterwards.

It depends on scope, so we quote rather than guess. As a rough guide, a marketing site with custom design lands in the low thousands, a booking system or online store in the mid thousands, and a full custom application from around ten thousand upwards. We will give you a real number after a conversation, and it is fixed once agreed.

No. Projects are split into a deposit and milestones set out in your quote. The Small Business Plan is a setup fee then a monthly subscription. Rescue audits are paid upfront because they are small and fast, and the report is yours whether or not you hire us afterwards.

We tell you before doing the work, not after. If something we did not anticipate changes the scope, we stop, explain it, and quote the difference. You decide whether to proceed. You will not receive an invoice for work you did not agree to.

The scope is negotiable; the rate is not. If the budget does not fit, we will tell you honestly what could come out of the first phase and what it would cost to add later — which is usually a better outcome than quietly building something cheaper than what you actually needed.
